Poetry-As-Process for Resiliency and Agency (workshop)

Exploring the art of poetry gives us functional insight on its powerful processes. This weekend workshop hosted by Climate Psychology Alliance is facilitated by practicing poet-educators Maw Shein Win and Lisa Rosenberg, offering hands-on experience with tools and processes of poetry, and an understanding of how these resources can be useful in a therapeutic context. Participants will learn approaches to writing and exploring poems that provide pathways to revisiting challenging terrain with a listening presence. The workshop will include discussion and inquiry, with short writing sessions based on approach-specific prompts. As both a making and exploratory space, poetry-as-process can foster a sense of agency—for reflection, exploration, learning, and change. Registration via Eventbrite, early-bird discount through March 4.
